ABERDEEN PARK can follow up her recent Stratford win with a success here; the best of the rest could be Maria Antonia ahead of Potemkin. Venetia Williams' mare was a good winner on Sunday afternoon, finishing two lengths clear of the progressive Bathwick Man. She has won here before, has no problem with the drop in trip, and she looks sure to run well. The biggest danger may be another mare, the consistent Maria Antonia. Allison Thorpe's charge looks high enough in the weights but her consistency should stand her in good stead as she steps back up in trip. Grasscutter is another consistent sort, but the application of the first-time cheek-pieces suggests that connections feel that he is perhaps not putting it all in. Top-weight Bob Mountain is not to be ignored; Peter Bowen's son of Bob Back should appreciate the drop back in trip and his capable jockey is able to claim 6lbs in this contest. Foxesbow has a first start for Jonjo O'Neill today, and he cannot be ignored dropping back in trip despite a 9lb higher mark than last time in Ireland, whilst Potemkin starts off in handicaps with a mark of 102 and he has some solid form from last year to draw on. Telegonus and Solway Blue need to bounce back from a disappointing last run, but before then each had been in fair form, however it is Aberdeen Park who can go in again.
