BOYOBOY gets the vote in this tight handicap ahead of Tarabela, Red Onion and Answer Me. George Moore's gelding ran his best race to date when taking to handicap company for the first time at Catterick. He's up 3lbs having finished second that day but our feeling is he was a shade unfortunate not to win and compensation awaits. Tarabela remains a maiden after 14 starts but has been improving of late and this trip and ground combination should serve her well, so a big run is likely although it may once again end in defeat. Red Onion represents a red-hot trainer but was outpaced on this sort of ground last time and may be better served by a bit of cut, although it must be said that on some of his hurdles form he's nicely weighted. It's A Discovery returns to hurdles off a fair mark but he has to prove recent errors over the larger obstacles haven't left their mark so a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Answer Me. He drops a couple of pounds in the weights following a sound enough run last time and seems to relish these conditions but his only success came in a point-to-point and he may want more of a stamina test. Boing Boing is well handicapped but under a cloud at present so this is best left to Boyoboy.
