In depth

Verdict

The tentative vote here goes to Haggle Twins ahead of Lord Rodney and Sharp Jack. The selection had been in fairly consistent form this winter until disappointing last time out off a mark of 125. He reverts to the bigger obstacles today off a lower mark and should go close assuming his jumping holds up. He handles the ground well and with his stable in top form at present, he gets the nod. Lord Rodney is fairly consistent but ultimately had no excuses when well held last time out, however he should be watched in the betting. Sharp Jack should be better for his recent break and can go well, whilst Jaoka Du Gord is a course and distance winner so cannot be dismissed entirely, despite being out of form. Ultimately this looks a decent opportunity for Haggle Twins to make a winning return to fences.
