Verdict

This should not take a great deal of winning and Star Angler looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways having been beaten in a better race at Towcester last time so gets the vote ahead of Heavy Weather and Abraham Smith. The last mentioned has failed to complete in his last three starts but has slipped back to a fair mark and cannot be discounted. Magnetic Pole is less exposed than most of these but remains a maiden; a run that is likely to continue here. Flight Of Earls is hard to recommend on all known form and of more interest may be Heavy Weather, who can race off the same mark as when landing a handicap hurdle at Towcester in November. This is not a race that should take much winning though and the safest bet looks to be Star Angler, who gets the vote.
