Verdict

LONGBOURN (NAP) was in excellent form last summer, scoring over this trip at the Curragh. He reappeared with a staying-on effort over a mile at Naas before finding 1m4f beyond him in the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap at Royal Ascot. Laelaps has gained both victories to date over a mile on ground with some give though was running on over that trip at the Curragh last time. Ten times winner Bowerman is on his lowest mark since 2017 so shouldn't be dismissed but Morph Speed ran in the Chester Cup last time so this looks on the short side. Ghasham has disappointed since landing a Cork maiden though didn't enjoy testing conditions at Roscommon.
