Strong Resemblance showed promise in a couple of runs at Cartmel last year but recent efforts have left something to be desired and he’s switched stables. Veteran See Double You keeps defying the years and won over fences at Hexham six weeks ago, though hasn’t won over hurdles since 2016 and is 9lb higher. Border Victor would have claims on his best form but this can go to MAUREEN’S STAR, who has been chasing but won over the smaller obstacles at Perth in August and races off the same mark. Chocolat Noir was in front when slipping up after jumping the second-last at Cartmel last time and it would be no surprise if she gained compensation in this.
