Nortonthorpelegend is the only recent course and distance winner in the line-up but recent efforts don’t inspire confidence. Achill Road Boy won over a shorter trip off a higher mark here in 2016 and stays further, though is having a first run since unseating his rider at Kelso in May and can get behind in his races. Golden Investment is only 1-17 over fences but is sure to have benefited from his third at Huntingdon though has to give 20lb to INCHCOLM. The bottom weight beat Spinning Scooter at Hexham in May and was placed in both subsequent starts. Though having a first run since June, he’s a consistent sort and who should be thereabouts as long as the going doesn’t deteriorate. Toosey couldn’t match a well-treated rival at Uttoxeter 11 days ago but is another with solid claims.
