Why The Big Paws can follow up a hard fought win last time to account for The Miner, Glenfarclas Boy and Stormy Beech. Despite being slightly hampered two out at Musselburgh last time, Why The Big Paws got there in the end to catch Mr Auchterlonie right on the line. That was a cracking effort by Richard Guest's charge and a similar performance today should make him the one to beat. The Miner also left it late at Kelso when beating Waltzing Along by a head, and should go well, especially over this longer trip. Glenfarclas Boy showed nothing last time but may improve back over fences, while Stormy Beech was never rally in the hunt at Newcastle last time but will be that bit fitter. Nothing else jumps off the page and with plenty going for him, Why The Big Paws has leading claims.
