In a very good novices' chase, the vote just goes to Alam ahead of Tribal Venture, Carapuce and Vandas Choice. Alam made a highly-pleasing start to his chasing career at Hexham and, being well regarded by his trainer and the step up in trip looking likely to suit for this 125-rated hurdler, he can run a big race today. Vandas Choice has been a revelation this season, winning his last three starts and is sure to put up a good show again. Carapuce jumped well to score last time and he has also to be seriously considered, while the form of Tribal Venture's Wetherby win has been franked and he is fully entitled to his supporters, having also been placed in Graded company last time. Of the others, Jazz d'Estruval showed plenty of promise in a light hurdling career and should be better over fences. Overall, though, once again the vote just goes to Alam.
