With no guaranteed pace in the race it may be worth siding with SAVING GRACE, who may be able to fend off Clumber Place and Cheers For Thea. The selection may seem like a little shot in the dark because there is no apparent pace on but her form is not bad. She was given a tough task last time when trying to take on the likes of Fujin Dancer. She wasn't beaten a million miles that day and today's task is certainly easier. She races from the right end of the handicap and the promising Paul Pickard takes a further five pounds off her back. Clumber Place made a really promising seasonal reappearance when doing best of those who raced up with the pace. That was a run-of-the-mill handicap but she can be expected to improve for the run. Cheers For Thea is certainly the form horse in the race but a lack of pace is a serious concern for a horse that could go off a short price. Ykikamoocow warrants serious consideration as she is best when fresh.
