In depth

Verdict

Ckalco Des Loges has won a maiden point-to-point in France and will no doubt attract attention making his hurdling bow for Dan Skelton’s yard. Blakerigg was second in a bumper early this year and is preferred to stablemate Moscow Calling but Verona Opera has disappointed over hurdles since finishing second at Ayr back in March. Bumper winner MR MONOCHROME (NAP) makes his debut over timber with a recent comeback run under his belt. The half-brother to a couple of winning hurdlers may well be up to landing this given Malcolm Jefferson’s yard is in flying form at present.
