Edge Of Light, Gone Fast and Unilateral look three against the field and our vote is for Edge Of Light. Edge Of Light has kept counsel at the top of her game this season and as she hails from an unfashionable yard, she could be a couple of points bigger than her price entitles and she is not short of pace. Gone Fast looks useful and appears able to act on any going. James Fanshawe is not in the habit of making frivolous entries at this level and the market is watched. Unilateral kept on well to be fourth in the Lowther. That performance represented a substantial step up in grade and her chances are obvious. Excitement looks a potential fly in the ointment on paper. Impressive at York, more is required here but she looks entirely capable. Lady Deauville blobbed at Folkestone and is clearly better than this form suggests. Lady Avenger makes a return to the track following her seventh in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. Loch Jipp is a useful all-rounder and has maintained a level of form throughout the season. Cristal Clear will be delivered fast and late. Edge Of Light has to improve to win this but still looks to be heading the right way.
