The frustrating The Trader was due to run yesterday at Newbury. A real course specialist, Nicholas T has run well off this mark at Ascot and Doncaster since recording a sixth track victory in July and will be hard to keep out of the frame if a busy season hasn’t taken its toll but does have a length to find with Doncaster runner-up CERTAIN LAD, who can go one better. Universal Gleam is a dual course winner but hasn’t exactly distinguished himself in previous tries over this longer trip. Another Touch appeared to run very well at York following an absence but has had another break since.
