Verdict

WASAAYEF just failed to catch Cressida on her debut at Kempton then made most to beat Alpen Rose over 7f here. The runner-up won next time and wasn't beaten far in the Group 2 Park Hill at Doncaster so the form looks smart. The Frankel filly Queen Daenerys made a fine start behind Cloak Of Spirits at Ascot, though the winner was a couple of lengths behind Alpen Rose in the Park Hill so collateral form just points to the selection despite having to concede 7lb. Bharani Star looked in need of experience at Ascot a fortnight ago but caught the eye in the closing stages and will have come on markedly. Golden Pass, a 150,000gns daughter of Golden Horn out of a UAE 1000 Guineas winner, is one to keep an eye on.
