Verdict

Practically all can be given a chance in a wide-open affair but if two excellent runs at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals have not taken the edge off THEINVAL, then he'll prove a hard nut to crack if repeating the level of a fine fourth behind Le Prezien at the former track and a splendid runner-up effort at Aintree last weekend. Inevitably he has been upped by the handicapper despite those defeats but hopefully can defy a 3lb rise. Guitar Pete was another to perform with credit at Cheltenham when sixth behind The Storyteller and has every chance if repeating the quality of his Caspian Caviar Gold Cup Chase win there in December. Just Cameron and Cracking Find could go well from opposite ends of the handicap and Romain De Senam has place claims having been dropped a few pounds.
