The first of what will be a host of competitive handicaps over the next couple of days and OUR LUCAS is a speculative choice. A course and distance scorer, he comfortably defied topweight in a much weaker race last time and could well get involved at the business end with Brian Hughes booked off a featherweight. Lough Kent and Wot A Shot are other in-form sorts towards the foot of the weights who make appeal, whilst Kelka also catches the eye after a very light chasing campaign and now back over hurdles with Liam Quinlan claiming a handy 7lb. Useful dual purpose campaigner, Great Fighter, has not been seen since September but note that ground conditions are turning in his favour.
