Star Rover has always had the ability to surprise but on these terms will have to pull out another big effort to score so a better choice in this listed contest seems to be MISTER MANANNAN, who has the weights in his favour, with Skylla also in with a big shout. Having finished second best to Star Rover in a top listed contest at York the selection then reversed that form with his rival by placing in the Group Two Flying Childers Stakes last time. His run when only finding the top class Monsieur Chavalier too good in Goodwood's Molecomb Stakes also reads well and he looks the one they have to beat. Star Rover defied the odds when landed his listed title at York but his performance last time and other pieces of form has him with plenty to find this time. Skylla has had two runs over this minimum trip and won them both. She also performed well during her first attempt at this standard last time and the way this race is framed she doesn't have much to find. Absolute Music is also weighted to be involved but has plenty to prove at this level so this seems a good opportunity for Mister Manannan.
