In depth

Verdict

Geeveem concedes weight all round but should hold too many guns for his rivals in a claiming chase where two runners make any real appeal. Beaten favourite in the Red Square Vodka Gold Cup, his stamina appears to be an issue in staying handicaps over extreme distances but his class can see him dominate this race. Kerry Lads has been an admirable flag bearer for the Lucinda Russell yard through the years but conditions are not likely to be testing enough for him. Auntie Kathleen has not been seeing out the trip of late while Cash Bonanza has it all to do on ratings. Geeveem is the selection to land this claiming chase.
