In depth

Verdict

Kadarann has no Moscow Flyer to worry about here, and is taken to get back to winning ways at the expense of stablemate Armaturk, Bonus Bridge and Full Irish. Kadarann has won this race twice in the past, and although his last success came in the 2003 Castleford Chase at Wetherby, hopes are high that he can get back to winning ways judged on latest efforts. Behind stablemate Azertyuiop in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury, he has since seen the backside of Moscow Flyer twice, at Cheltenham and Aintree. He was beaten a distance at the Merseyside track, but back in this company, should pay a handsome compliment to the form. His team mate Armaturk actually finished ahead of him at Newbury, and was staying on behind Fota Island in the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual at Cheltenham. He was fourth in this race last year and has to give four-pound to the selection. Bonus Bridge was fourth to Fota Island at Aintree, so that puts him in with a chance against Armaturk at least, while Full Irish has been off since January and has a bit to find anyway. All in all, this should go to Paul Nicholls, and we make Kadarann the one.
