Verdict

This has cut up badly and should be a formality for Piano Star who should have little difficulty in opening his account against his sole rival. Sir Michael Stoute's charge chased home a subsequent Lupe Stakes winner on his debut in a Chester maiden in May and was then far from disgracedbehind the smart High Accolade, beaten six lengths in the Predominate Stakes at Goodwood. The son of Darshaan cannot be opposed here and should make his mark in Pattern company later in the season, particularly when there is plenty of cut in the ground. Mark Johnston has his Middleham team in good order but Juristicia was soundly beaten on her only start to date and appears to have a mountain to climb here.
