        Verdict

        A moderate race in which Newkeylets is marginally preferred to Fortress and Stoneacre Fred. Newkeylets has proved to difficult to place but she ran on solidly over six furlongs and if Tom Eaves can get her organised - there has to be a major chance in a poor race. Fortress has come down the weights since paying the penalty for some good runs as a juvenile. She won over six furlongs at Carlisle and possesses reasonable all round pace. Peter Grayson has done well with a small team of sprinters although Stoneacre Fred looks nothing out of the ordinary. Mytton's Pride is fitted with first time blinkers and should be capable of setting the early pace. Signor Whippee is exposed while Megalo Maniac ran his best ever race at Carlisle on his most recent start and should not be discounted despite being 2lb out of the handicap. A tough race in which Newkeylets is given the tentative vote.
