Len Lungo has his string in good form at present so Sedgefield winner Joint Authority has to be respected but Family Venture has done little wrong this term and is taken to defy the 7lb rise in the weights for his most recent success and score at the main expense of Eyze. The last mentioned capitalized on the falls of his two main market rivals when landing a weak novices' chase at Kelso last month and would have gone close to landing a handicap here last time but for falling at the last. If none the worse for that, the seven-year-old is entitled to be thereabouts again. Ideal Du Bois Beury, who was well held in third place in that contest, has slipped to an attractive mark but the ex-Martin Pipe inmate is on a long losing sequence and is difficult to recommend. Themanfromcarlisle has claims on the form shown when winning at Plumpton in October but has been well beaten since and of more interest could be Richard Guest's Vidi Caesar, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. Alan Parker's Gangsters R Us is another worthy of a mention but Family Venture, who's only blip so far this season was when unseating David Russell at the first at Fakenham two starts ago, has solid claims and looks the one to be on.
