Another tough contest to call here for punters but the main protagonists look to be Cumbrian Knight, Unshaken and Dalblair and the confident vote goes to Cumbrian Knight. The five-year-old has been in fair form of late and a reproduction of his latest fourth behind Sands Rising should suffice in what looks an easier race. Unshaken rates the main danger. He was a fair sort on the flat, winning at up to a mile. However, he has not won for nearly two years so, unless the hurdles spark a major revival, he is passed over on this occasion. Dalblair was a fair third on his hurdling debut behind Chivalry and Vintage Premium, two rivals who are held in high regard and he is sure to improve so it would be no surprise if he were to make his presence felt. Of the remainder Hollows Mist showed a modicum of ability in a bumper when third but he gave the impression he would need a longer trip to be seen at his best, while For Your Ears only was beaten in a chase last time and may not have enough speed to lay up now that he returns to hurdles so we are happy to side with the experienced Cumbrian Knight.
