Rub Of The Relic failed to stay seven furlongs at Warwick on Friday, but would be a leading contender to cope with the drop in trip if turned out quickly today. Those with experience look very ordinary, so it may be down to newcomers Dareios and Miss Sunshine to provide the sternest challenges. Miss Sunshine - a half-sister to a couple of sprint winners (Rothesay Dancer and Compton Spark) hails from a yard that always merit respect at this track; especially as they have already turned out a juvenile winner on debut this season. This daughter of Piccolo can be expected to handle the ground, so would be very interesting if supported before the off. Dareios holds a Derby entry but is just as likely to make his mark at a round a mile. He makes his debut at a modest level, so has to be of interest. However, this may simply be a case of experience counting for most and, as Paul Blockley's horses seem to thrive on his work ethic, this son of Chevalier looks sure to make a bold bid to pay for the travelling expenses if he make his way up from Lambourn today.
