ROBIN HOODS BAY, one of many attractive rides on the card for title-chasing Richard Hughes, should give a good account in what appear to represent optimum conditions for Ed Vaughan's charge. He was an excellent third first time up in a competitive Newmarket handicap behind Danadana who has franked the form subsequently before producing nothing more than an ordinary effort when fourth at Windsor last time over 1m4f. Back to 1m2f, he may prove too good for John Biscuit, a convincing winner at Epsom last time with the look of a gelding from whom there's more to come. The rest are not in the best of form with the exception of Mcvicar who receives a tremendous amount of weight all round. He's come back to form the last twice and certainly should feature on any shortlist.
