MACARTHUR is put forward as the selection in a hot renewal of this Group 3 contest with Red Rocks and Masterofthehorse worthy of inclusion upon any shortlist. Trained by Mike De Kock, the son of Montjeu has not been seen out since flopping in the Sheema Classic in Dubai. A winner of the Hardwicke Stakes at this course and third in the Coronation Cup last term, if he is fit enough to do himself justice, he will prove difficult to beat. Red Rocks is in a similar scenario though his absence is partly due to the fact that he has moved back to Britain having raced in America. The Meehan camp have reported him as working well on the gallops but the Breeders Cup will probably be the aim and he is without Frankie Dettori today. Masterofthehorse is in receipt of all the allowances. Now with Debbie Mountain, he has the services of Kieren Fallon, who should know him well from his days at Ballydoyle. Campanologist has made himself into a smart performer in this grade though he has to concede penalties all around today. Drill Sergeant was second in the Lonsdale Cup at York. He will be a big price here though Mark Johnston is not in the habit of taking potshots at races of this nature without good reason. Muhannak has the ability to walk away with a prize like this but his attitude on the racetrack has descended into near anarchy. Illustrious Blue won't be too far away whilst Mawatheeq attempts to graduate into this sphere having won well at Doncaster in handicap company. Macarthur is the pick in a very decent race.
