In depth

Verdict

An open looking contest, where cases can be made for any of the seven runners. Prompt Payment is in fine form and is sure to be a warm order after wins at Leicester and then twice at Newmarket. Though connections suggest she prefers a bit of cut underfoot, she has won on fast ground and she should go well on her step up in class. Ishtak was an easy winner of her maiden at Kempton in July, but was found wanting when stepped up in trip and grade for the Park Hill recently. Back over 12 furlongs and on quicker ground, she should go well for John Gosden's in-form yard. However, preference is for stable mate Treble Heights. An easy winner on debut at Chester, she had only the very useful Alexander Three D in front of her in the Park Hill and back over 12 furlongs she is open to further improvement, though the ground will be plenty quick enough for her. The remainder all merit respect, in what should be a good contest.
