Ready preference is for SPEEDY DOLLAR here with Hadaf and Laddies Poker Two others that are likely to attract support. The favourite has won the last three renewals of this race and it would be no surprise to see Michael Jarvis' charge fill that position following his defeat of Hoh Mike at Yarmouth. There may be not be as much kudos to be taken from claiming that scalp as once was the case but it proved that Speedy Dollar's career is back on track. The drop back in trip clearly suited him and whilst it couldn't be argued that he's well handicapped on his form the fact that his shrewd trainer pitched him into Listed company for his seasonal return suggests that he may be capable of better yet. Support for Striking Spirit would bring him into the equation whilst Film Maker and Exhibition would have claims if the headgear has a positive effect but the likes of Spanish Bounty and Nacho Libre probably have enough weight on their backs. Laddies Poker Two impressed on debut and made a satisfactory return to action at Newmarket when seemingly running out of gas in the seventh furlong. This shorter trip could prove key to her chances and she should go close if building on that run. Supporters of Hadaf will need to forgive a poor run at Great Leighs but it may be worth doing so as he has looked useful at best and looks capable of winning from his present mark. His trainer is finishing the season with a rattle and the demands of this race should suit his challenger. Hadaf does have a question to answer after that performance though which means that we'll be siding with Speedy Dollar.
