      Verdict

William Buick rode Chiefofchiefs to victory in the Silver Wokingham here last month and his mount will have no problem stepping up a furlong. But Blue Mist was unlucky in that contest, repeatedly denied a run, and may well reverse that form on 5lb better terms. Spanish City was third in the Wokingham itself and always seems to run well in these big-field handicaps, though did finish behind Keyser Soze in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket two weeks ago. Jack's Point finished ahead of several of these in the Buckingham Palace Handicap at the Royal meeting and has each-way claims again and Arbalet is a consistent sort worth a second look. But Frankie Dettori is a class apart here and this could be another memorable day for the veteran Italian with VALE OF KENT having an excellent chance to defy top weight. Mark Johnston’s charge has already run five times this season but has only turned in one below-par performance so far and can record a first victory on this track with a low draw unlikely to prove an inconvenience.
