    Verdict

This is restricted to colts and geldings who have run no more than once but only four of these have seen a racecourse previously. Mayaas probably fared best with a staying-on fourth at Haydock though Shanghai Rock, whose stable has won this five times in the last seven years, hinted at ability at Newbury and the yard also field newcomer Mohawk King, who is the first foal to race of a mare that won twice as a juvenile. Churchill Bay was beaten almost 10 lengths behind the odds-on Zamaani at Windsor but the Clive Cox two-year-olds have been improving massively for a run and the son of The Last Lion is likely to be no exception. HAMOUDI is by Dark Angel and a half-brother to some very speedy individuals so gets the nod to make a winning start with Minzaal also worth a market check.
