Verdict
Wicked Daze is the one runner in the field open to improvement and should take all the beating if ready after a break. Greenwich Meantime and Colloquial could be the pair to give him most to do. Concerns regarding the selection include his lack of a recent run and the fact that he has failed to win in four starts on grass but they are quickly brushed aside with his in-form trainer commanding the utmost respect. He produced a career best performance on his first attempt at this trip when last seen in February and there should be plenty more to come from this Ebor entrant. He's likely to be short enough and I wouldn't blame anyone for trying to find one to beat him. Greenwich Meantime is probably the most interesting of his opponents as the former Chester Cup winner has slipped back to a decent mark. He's got a 5lb swing in the weights with Colloquial for five and a half lengths on their running at Haydock and there's little to choose between the pair. Vinando is quirky at best, Caraaciola and Enjoy The Moment high enough in the weights as is Jadalee who will do well to see out a strongly run race. This would appear to be a decent opportunity for Wicked Daze on his return to action.
