Verdict
Stalking Shadow has been found a decent opportunity to shed his maiden tag and can do so at the main expense of Shakedown and Ceili Mor. Saeed Bin Suroor hasn't had many runners at Thirsk over the years but five of his thirteen three year-olds to have made the journey have won and Stalking Shadow can add his name to the list. The million dollar purchase was all at sea on heavy ground at Ripon but this faster surface should see him in a better light. Those to have raced have shown little so the biggest threat may come from a newcomer and one that makes some appeal is Shakedown. He's the first foal of a useful dam and one to note in the market. Aspendale should improve for the step back up in trip and Lighting Shadow for his debut whilst Ceili Mor may be able to make a mark in this company but it's hard to escape Godolphin's Stalking Shadow.
