        Verdict

        Somerset Falls can make a winning return and force Romantic Destiny to wait a little longer for her maiden success. Mark Johnston's filly made a satisfactory debut behind a better fancied stablemate in an average Musselburgh maiden last year. This contest wouldn't appear to be a great deal stronger and she should be ready to fire with her yard going great guns. Romantic Destiny has had twelve cracks at the target and was rated in the nineties at one stage. She's languishing in the mid-seventies now and supporters must be starting to run out of patience. This would appear to be as bad a race as she's contested for some time and she must go close. Most of the remainder are open to improvement but they will need to find it if they're going to take a hand in the finish of the contest. Eton Rifles and Hydrophonic are, perhaps, two of the likelier candidates but this looks likely to be a battle between Romantic Destiny and Somerset Falls with the latter taken to win the day.
