After an opening victory at Haydock, Frankuus came here for the Chesham Stakes on softer ground and could only stay on at one pace after being headed 2f out. He should do better on this surface though the opposition looks very tough including his stable companion Monticello. He followed a narrow debut success at Sandown with an emphatic victory at Musselburgh and should get into the action. Bahamas overcame inexperience to land a Doncaster maiden in good style and looks a smart prospect as does DUBAI HERO and it's the Godolphin colt who gets the nod as he travelled smoothly and quickened up like a good horse when scoring at Newmarket. None of the remainder can be dismissed in a competitive opener.
