Hughie Morrison won this a couple of years ago and the progressive Pirouette can go well from her lowly spot in the handicap despite stepping up in class. Sir Roderic has now won five of his last seven and had El Hayem a length behind at Sandown last time. The runner-up, who was having only his third start, is 3lb better off and with more scope is taken to reverse the form. VON BLUCHER (NAP) was bogged down in soft ground at Sandown in April but found fast going to his liking when scoring in this class at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago. He's up 7lb but looked a potential pattern race performer that day and can prove it here. Kingston Kurrajong appears to have got away lightly with just a 2lb rise for his victory at this level at Windsor though that was on soft ground. Taurean Star has a course and distance victory to his credit and hails from a yard going well.
