      Verdict

      An unappealing betting medium but Imperial State may be well fancied with Simon Walker booked for George Scott's gelding after showing glimmers of ability in maidens and now entering his first handicap off a workable mark. George Baker will also receive classy assistance from the saddle and has proved a good ride for amateur and apprentice pilots. BOBBY BENTON seemed to relish the return to the level after an abortive period over timber and could represent a value option if building on that promise as he posted fair form in the book on the all-weather in the early 2015. Wordismybond has contributed twice to the tally of Richard Hughes in his first full training year but was due to run at Chepstow last night while Rajadamri was better last time and the lightly-raced sort should get involved off bottom-weight.
