Verdict

Emirates Skyline was good value for his reappearance success at York last month and has to be respected off his 7lb higher mark today, while Sir Michael Stoute's Heaven Sent could be of interest stepping up in distance but preference is for Lake Poet. Clive Brittain's colt stayed on strongly when successful at Epsom last time and should appreciate the stiffness of the Ascot track today so is taken to defy a career high mark. Charlie Cool has more to do than when successful at Nottingham earlier this month, while Tabadul is strictly held by the selection on Epsom running. Mark Johnston's Road To Love has struggled against the handicapper of late, while Star of Light may do better than on his reappearance especially now that Brian Meehan is back among the winners. Emirates Skyline has solid claims and has to be respected but, at the likely odds, preference is for Lake Poet.
