A Listed winner on the level and a Grade 1 winner over hurdles, Vauban will likely start a warm favourite while Willie Mullins also returns Absurde to the Flat and Frankie does the steering. But POINT KING showed good progress last year when landing a Listed race over today’s trip at Leopardstown and should be spot on for this with another good effort at the latter track under his belt. Dual novice winner Ruling Dynasty has no easy task on his handicap debut and Hamilton winner Postileo would welcome any rain while Sam Cooke will appreciate this return to his winning trip and is preferred to Berkshire Rocco and Aaddeey. Get Shirty is struggling for form at present and is 6lb higher than when winning this last year.
