In depth

Verdict

A wide-open renewal and last year’s runner-up Cadillac can figure again. Frankie sticks with Saga rather than Francesco Clemente though both were beaten a neck on their respective latest starts by King Of Conquest and there’s little between that trio. Bolshoi Ballet hasn’t won for some time while BUCKAROO is penalised for winning a Listed event in April. But Joseph O’Brien’s colt subsequently finished a close-up fourth in a Group 1 in France and also has form on good ground. Solid Stone will be sharper for a comeback run in a hot Group 3 at Sandown while Poker Face finished in front of Royal Champion in the Huxley at Chester and Checkandchallenge could go well if lasting home.
