HIGHFIELD PRINCESS began last year as a useful handicapper and ended the season with a hat-trick of Group 1 wins including impressive victories in the Nunthorpe and the Flying Five at the Curragh. A repeat of either of those efforts should see her go close. Australian sprinter Coolangatta beat last year’s winner Nature Strip in a Group 1 at Flemington in February and is preferred to compatriot Cannonball while there looks more to come from Dramatised this year having beaten Equilateral with Twilight Calls and Mitbaahy further behind in the Temple Stakes at Haydock. Manaccan may yet prove up to this level having placed behind Vadream in last month’s Palace House while Twilight Gleaming was second in the Queen Mary here in 2021 and Bradsell won last year’s Coventry Stakes.
