Peter Chapple-Hyam comes here searching a hat-trick of wins but his Skid Solo looks to have plenty to find and this may lie between Baycat, South Central and Prolific and the vote goes to SOUTH CENTRAL. It's not often that a two-year-old really takes the eye up at Carlisle but that is what this fellow did when winning by 13 lengths. Those in behind may only be average but he was eased down and could easily have won by 20 lengths. He cost 60,000 guineas at the breeze-ups and that could be a good investment for a horse who has obviously blossomed. There are plenty of dangers, including Spin Cycle, who has impressed with his attitude in two recent successes, whilst Moss Likely may be underestimated given the fact that she is a filly up against the colts (does have a Windsor Castle entry on Tuesday). Waffle is open to any sort of improvement, and having started odds-on for his debut is obviously well thought of at home. Mullionmileanhour looks the pick of John Best's pair. Sun Ship represents Richard Hannon along with Prolific and he has some top juveniles once again this season so both must be high on any shortlist. Finjaan's recent second to Icesolator may look very good after the latter's run in the Coventry; however it is South Central who is fancied to land the opener.
