        Verdict

Cheveton can complete his hat-trick, perhaps at the main expense of Digital or Malapropism. The selection is the one progressive horse in this line-up and he followed up his win at Sandown with another taking performance at Haydock where he won as he liked. The handicapper's allotted him another 6lbs but that is perfectly fair and shouldn't be enough to stop him winning this heat. Digital was well backed last time but his customary slow start cost his supporters any chance of landing the spoils. He was some way behind Cheveton at Sandown but can give him something to think about if getting away on terms. Hereford Boy ran a fair race last time but is opposable on the balance of his form and of more interest is Malapropism who is fairly treated at present and appears to be running into form. These old sprinters shouldn't be underestimated but we'd rather side with the progressive Cheveton.
