Segregant Cecil is taken to come out on top in a competitive heat while Golden Lariat, Reveillez and Mamcazma rate the main dangers. Rod Millman's charge wasn't seen at his best on his latest start here when forcing tactics were employed and the run is best forgotten. The four-year-old possesses a useful turn of foot for a stayer and is best coming from off the pace as he has twice shown this season when scoring comfortable wins at Sandown in May and July. The King's Signet was particularly impressive on the latter occasion having travelled smoothly throughout before quickening in good style to assert his authority in the closing stages and looks capable of defying a subsequent 5lb rise. Golden Lariat edged out Reveillez when the pair met at Newmarket's July meeting and there should be little between the pair once again on the revised terms but the form is nothing out of the ordinary and both are worth opposing at the likely short odds. Mamcazma has proved a model of consistency this term and sorely deserves to get his head back in front but has crept up the weights and may prove vulnerable over a trip short of his best so Sergeant Cecil looks the one to beat with Kieren Fallon on board.
