Verdict

Saeed bin Suroor sent out last year’s winner and Big Meeting made a winning handicap debut at Lingfield while the other Godolphin runner FIRST RULER goes handicapping for the first time after going close carrying a penalty over a mile at Newmarket. This extra distance will suit the latter and Charlie Appleby’s colt may edge affairs. Sea The Casper also has a shout in a tight contest having having landed a novices' race at Redcar to remain unbeaten and should have the measure of more exposed types.
