Verdict

Admiral D finished in front of Romantic Time when second at Newmarket and has strong claims but SPANGLED MAC may not have finished winning yet. The latter defied a double penalty at Yarmouth to land a four-timer without being asked a serious question and is preferred to another progressive type in Adaay In Asia. Chelmsford winner Tolstoy debuts for a new yard but the unexposed Razeyna can’t be left out of calculations for the Haggas yard and the reserve Conflict would be making his handicap debut if taking part.
