        Verdict

        Arqoob may well improve for the longer trip having finished fourth over 6f at Wolverhampton but BAKE placed over today’s distance at Sandown on his debut. He never threatened the first two home but the runner-up has subsequently placed in a Group 3 so the form looks solid enough. Of the newcomers, Siam Fox is a 260,000gns half-brother to stablemate and Group 3 winner Fox Champion and is preferred to Military Man and Innovator while Akmaam looks his owner’s second string on jockey bookings.
