tracked leaders and not fluent, challenged last, every chance flat, held towards finish
chased leaders, lost place 4 out, soon pulled up and dismounted
made all, mistake 5th, challenged last, stayed on well under pressure, driven out
held up in rear and keen, weakened approaching 3 out, poor 4th when fell last
BLACK JACARI looks likely to be too good for the other quartet here, though Nampour and Dubai Baileys can also go well. The Alan King-trained selection is rated in the 80s on the flat but looks likely to improve over hurdles. He certainly made a pleasing debut when runner up at Market Rasen, he handles cut on the level, and there looks plenty more to come. Nampour also showed up well on his first outing over timber when second to Cosmea at Wincanton and if he can settle better here then he would improve his chances. Dubai Baileys was getting the hang of things at Chepstow first time out and we'd expect to see more from him here, and he looks likely to get competitive. The other pair will surely be better for the run but for today Black Jacari is given the nod.
