FORTYSECOND STREET was predictably outclassed against the top novices at Ayr but off a mark of 124 - he makes plenty appeal and would be hard to oppose were he to put up anything like his Doncaster run this afternoon. Safari Adventures won over course-and-distance in June and that sort of form counts for plenty. Adajal was not on a going day at Fontwell though today's going should be much more to his liking. Ferdy Murphy has sent out a couple of early winners so Big Burrows has to be a player. A winner of a Sedgefield contest, chasing was always going to be his game. Its Crucial was able to take advantage of a much reduced mark to oblige at Newbury but the handicapper's imposition of a 10lb rise was enough to stop him following up. Russian Flag has won around fast tracks though his jumping has proved an Achilles heel.
