Verdict

Indian Temple never looked like being caught earlier this month at Perth having finished second over 2m4f here earlier. However, he’s not raced over a trip this short in almost three years and some of his opponents are 2m specialists. Pearls Legend is one and has been staging something of a revival lately. He will rival the top weight for the early lead and fellow veteran Ifandbutwhynot also likes to race up with the pace. Champagne At Tara needs soft ground to be effective over this trip and Free Stone Hill has been struggling in lesser company. Theflyingportrait is 2lb lower than when winning this last year but has shown nothing in two runs this year. VALSEUR DE GRANVAL won by 10 lengths at Ludlow in April. He wasn’t disgraced in a hot contest at Uttoxeter last month and should have today’s race run to suit.
