        Verdict

        PASTORAL PLAYER has won eight times in a long career including this under Charlie Bennett in 2016. He's surprisingly been dropped 2lb despite a fine run in an Epsom Class 2 last time and victory number nine looks on the cards. Poet's Society has been running well in better company and his young partner has ridden a couple of winners this season so his 7lb claim will be a bonus. Parnassian finished just in front of the selection here last month and has dropped to his lowest ever mark while Pour La Victoire generally goes well on the track and hasn't been beaten far in his last two starts here. Arnarson hasn't won on Turf and is looking high enough in the weights.
